An Artist Whose Work Inspires me … Nino Batista

Without doubt, a lot of my creative inspiration and drive stems from other artists, and in particular other photographers covering the genre of photography I love (you can tell from this site’s section’s tabs), or other source of random creative work that is tickles my fancy.

This topic is to bring to light some of those who’ve made me rethink my style, my approach, my technique and in some instances even the genre I shoot.

I stumbled on the work of Nino Batista many many moons ago, from an image that’s of the Beauty & Glamour genre; his distinct use of lights, to create shadows and to highlight key parts of his subject was not just creative, but also challenging. It was the style that I had always aspired to achieve, if possible!

I’ve since drawn a lot of inspiration from his work, dedication and creative twists; so much that I continue to follow and learn every day.

You understand my point, go pay a visit to his web page and see for yourself:
